The StoryCats Consultancy is focused on creating real change through environmental projects that benefit both people and the planet. A key goal of the Coral Champions Indonesia project is to develop a scalable business model that creates jobs at the village level and helps restore coral reefs in the face of climate challenges like ocean warming.

In Indonesia, StoryCats is working with the OK OCE Foundation to develop a business model that makes large-scale coral reef restoration possible. By building strong partnerships and focusing on practical, sustainable solutions, StoryCats is creating a plan that supports lasting positive change for both the environment and local communities.

Guided by the research of Dr. Steve Palumbi, a Stanford University professor of marine sciences, the project explores the science behind heat-resistant corals. These resilient corals serve as a foundation for renewing reefs, much like farmers select the best crops for their land and climate. By helping translating science into actionable strategies, the StoryCats Consultancy is helping to ensure that coral reefs—and the ecosystems and communities that depend on them—have a fighting chance in the face of climate change.
